World Conservation Project - About
Hello, my name is Kate! I am halfway through my second year as a Marine Studies major at Oregon State University and it is my life goal to make a difference in the world. I have an immense passion for wildlife, specifically marine life, and I am taking any opportunity I get to further my understanding of the magnificent world around me through studying at OSU or exploring the beaches of the Oregon coast! Before starting college, I was an Educator at the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium in Utah for three-and-a-half years, and it is there that I had the wonderful chance to educate and inspire youth to take action in their communities. I fell in love with the fields of public outreach & conservation! Now, as a student at OSU, I work for the Marine Studies Initiative, as well as I work closely with Dr. Renee Albertson with harbor seal identification research and tracking (see some of my seal photos on the dropdown!). All of these experiences have showed me that I love interacting with people and raising awareness about conservation, and thus, the World Conservation Project was created. Explore . Imagine . Take Action . |
